Vets at The Kirkton Veterinary Centre have commissioned a specially carved seat in memory of Allan Annat, the vet who set up the centre. He was a much loved individual. The seat reflects his love of animals, in particular salmon, a rabbit and spaniel. The seat is much appreciated by the staff and pet owners who visit the centre.
A German Shepherd Guide Dog who is being trained as a Guide Dog for the Blind has been named after broadcaster and musician Robbie Shepherd. Funds are being raised for the guide dog by Craig Pike, his family and comedy group The Flying Pigs. Robbie the dog met his namesake recently in Duthie Park.
Fiona Fairley is an NHS Community Nurse whose post is funded by Charlie House. Fiona supports children with complex life limiting conditions and their families. She provides an essential link between the families, patients, Charlie House and Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital.
